Recognised by Star Wine List, Gastronomía Bilbao brings together more than 600 carefully selected wines, with over 50 wines available by the glass, making it one of the most exciting wine programmes in the Basque Country. Our greatest passion is Spanish wine, particularly the wines of Txakoli and Rioja, complemented by an exceptional collection from some of the world's finest wine regions.
Every bottle on our shelves has a reason for being there. We don't build our collection around trends or big brands. Instead, we seek out wines that tell the story of the people and places behind them, from the steep vineyards of the Basque Country and Rioja to the cellars of Burgundy, Champagne, Jura, Piedmont and beyond. Our beautifully designed private tasting room, Sip Sip, is available for groups of 10 to 22 guests and is the perfect setting for private lunches, dinners, corporate meetings, wine tastings and celebrations. Home to our daily wine tastings, the room is surrounded by wine maps from the world's most renowned wine regions, creating an inspiring space to discover and enjoy great wine.
Choose from our specially designed group menus, paired with exceptional wines from our cellar of over 600 references, or let our sommeliers create a bespoke tasting experience tailored to your group. The room is fully equipped with an HDMI connection for presentations, making it ideal for business meetings, team events and client entertaining, all just opposite the Guggenheim Museum.

A Living Wine Collection
At Gastronomía Bilbao, our wine collection is never finished. We believe a truly great wine list should constantly evolve, which is why every month we introduce new producers, rare bottles and exciting vintages to our cellar. Our selection by the glass also changes regularly, giving guests the opportunity to discover something new every time they visit.
Our philosophy is simple: we work with winemakers who are the true soul of their vineyards. Rather than following trends or filling our shelves with famous labels alone, we seek out passionate growers whose wines genuinely express their land, their history and the people behind every bottle. Behind every wine on our list is a story, and we believe those stories are best discovered by visiting the vineyards themselves.
Our team of professional sommeliers spends much of the year travelling across Spain and some of the world's most exciting wine regions, visiting wineries, tasting with producers and building long-lasting relationships with the people behind the bottles. We don't simply buy wine from catalogues. Every bottle on our list has been personally tasted and selected because we believe in its quality, authenticity and sense of place.
Our greatest passion is Spanish wine, particularly the wines of Txakoli and Rioja. Discover legendary producers such as Vega Sicilia, López de Heredia, Artadi, Dominio de Pingus and Raúl Pérez, alongside the new generation of winemakers shaping the future of Spanish wine, including Alfredo Egia, Doniene Gorrondona, Abel Mendoza, José Gil, Diego Magaña, Jade Gross, Gil Berzal, Viña Zorzal, Oxer Wines, Envínate, Verónica Ortega, Michelini i Mufatto and Bodegas Cerrón.
Beyond Spain, our cellar explores some of the world's greatest wine regions, from Champagne, Burgundy, Jura, Piedmont and Sicily to Austria, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Argentina and Chile. Our collection includes internationally acclaimed producers such as Samuel Billaud, Kei Shiogai, Jacques Lassaigne, Agrapart, Gaja, Ceretto, Cellier Saint Benoit, Foradori and Claus Preisinger, alongside many small family wineries producing wines in tiny quantities that are rarely found outside their home regions.
Wine is meant to be shared. Throughout the year we regularly welcome leading winemakers, importers and some of the wine world's most respected voices for exclusive tastings and masterclasses. We have proudly hosted events with Colectivo Decantado, Santi Rivas, prestigious wineries and renowned Champagne houses like Pol Roger or Billecart Salmon, giving our guests the opportunity to meet the people behind the bottles and experience their wines firsthand.
